Scotland's finest traditional crispy and crumbly biscuit. Try them with chocolate and I promise you will not regret it!

Level: Easy

Serves: 6

Prep: 15min.

Cook: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

100g butter

50g sugar

100g flour

50g cornflour

100g chocolate chips (optional)

Preparation:

Cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. Add the other ingredients and form a medium soft dough.

Line a baking tray with baking paper and preheat the oven on 140C.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1 cm thickness, if you use biscuit stamp, or 0.5cm if you don’t. If the dough is too soft to work with, add more flour. With an (8cm) biscuit cutter cut out the biscuits and lay them onto the lined baking tray. Bake them for 50 minutes. Enjoy with tea, coffee or a glass of milk!
