Salty and sweet, crunchy and soft...it is my go-to recipe to satisfy those cravings! Just love it!

Level: Easy
Serves: 12
Prep: 20 min
Cook: 15-20 minutes
Ingredients:
Cake:
1 cup flour
½ cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
110g butter
3 heaped tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup hot water
½ cup Greek yogurt
2 eggs
1 tsp sodium bicarbonate
1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping:
200g dark chocolate
1tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
15g butter
½ cup chopped pecans
Preparation:
Line a 26cm x 18cm baking pan with greaseproof paper and preheat the oven on 175C.
In a bowl combine flour, sugar and salt.
In a saucepan add butter to melt, then add the cocoa powder, stir, add the hot water, stir, boil it for

about 30 seconds, then turn the heat off and combine it with the flour mixture (not fully) to cool it down.
In a bowl combine the yogurt, eggs, sodium bicarbonate and vanilla extract. Add this yogurt mixture to the flour and butter mixture and mix it until smooth. Pour the batter to the baking pan and bake it for 15-20 minutes. Do the toothpick test. If it isn’t clean, put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes, then do the test again.
For the topping, melt the chocolate, stir in the vanilla extract, salt and the butter and mix until the butter is melted. Stir in the chopped pecans and pour it over the warm cake. Let it cool down, then put it into the fridge until the topping is set.
