A healthier alternative to a beloved snack. Indulge without any regret! 😁

Level: Easy

Serves: 6

Prep: 5 min

Cook: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

Flapjacks:

1 cup oats

2 ripe bananas

1tbsp honey

1tsp vanilla extract

½ cup chopped pecans

Topping:

25g dark chocolate

10g butter

Preparation:

Line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper and preheat the oven to 180C.

In a bowl add the oats, honey, vanilla extract and the bananas. Start mashing the bananas until smooth and completely combined with the oats. Mix in the chopped pecans. With the help of a medium ice-cream scoop, divide to 6 equal pieces. Shape the oat mixture on the lined sheet pan to the shape you want them to come out of the oven (they don’t spread). You can shape them to whatever shape you would like if you prefer a different shape. (I made them round and about 1.5cm thick.)

Bake for 12 minutes.

When they are done, let them cool on a cooling rack.

Melt the chocolate and the butter together, then you can dip the flapjacks in it or drizzle the chocolate over them. Enjoy!
