Beautiful and really delicious Easter Ham which is a stunning centrepiece for your family occasion!

Level: Easy

Serves: 18

Prep: 15 minutes

Cook: 4 hours

Ingredients:

2.75kg Cured Gammon Joint

Whole Cloves

200g demerara sugar

5 tbsp mustard

1 can of Coke (sugary) or Dr Pepper

5 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Preparation:

Preheat the oven on 160C.

Cut the skin of the gammon however shape you want it. (Diamond shape is beautiful but my knife wasn’t sharp enough 😁) stick the edge of a really sharp knife into the skin (not too deep), in the hole (created by the knife) put a whole clove. Repeat this until you have enough cloves stuck everywhere. Put the gammon in a roasting pan, cover it with foil and put it in the preheated oven for 2 hours.

Cook the glaze ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat for about 20 minutes.

Take the gammon out of the oven, take off the foil and brush the glaze on it. Make sure the glaze gets everywhere! Put it back in the oven (without the foil). Keep brushing the glaze on the gammon every 20 minutes and roast it for another 2 hours. Let it rest for about 20 minutes. Take it to the table, receive all the admiration and enjoy! 😁
