Level: Easy
Serves: 52
Prep: ½ hours
Cook: 25-30 minutes
Ingredients:
Dough:
500g flour
1 sachet (11g) of yeast
250g butter
1 egg
2 tsp salt (1 if salted butter)
100g natural yogurt
Filling/Topping:
50g butter
150g cheese
2 eggs
150g cheese
Preparation:
Dough: mix all the ingredients and knead it into a medium-hard dough. Cover it and set it aside to prove.
Preheat the oven for 170 degrees Celsius and line a thin baking sheet with baking paper.
Filling/Topping: On a floured surface roll out the dough (5mm thick). Melt the butter and brush the rolled out surface. Sprinkle 150g cheese over the butter.
Fold the dough: Bring the right side to the middle, then take the left side and fold it over it. Now you have a long rectangle. Now fold it in half to get a square.
Flour the surface and roll out the dough again. Brush it with the eggs and sprinkle 150g cheese over it again. Cut them into 2cm wide strips. Bake on 170 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
Keep them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
